Process to Outreach/Onboard Programs and Providers
We have already successfully recruited all California State Preschool Program (CSPP)/CMIG providers in Madera County. We visit private centers and family child care providers to help them become aware of the benefits of participating in the QRIS.
Quality Improvement Program Support Strategies
We provide coaching, training, block grants, and incentives/materials according to the individual needs (as well as the tier rating) of our participating sites.
Local Approach to Offering Financial Incentives and Stipends
California State Preschool Program/CMIG sites rated at Tier 4 or 5 qualify for block grants. Private centers and family child care providers not yet rated, or rated below a Tier 3, receive support materials (based on ERS or coaches’ recommendations).

Testimonial
I have found the coaching and all of the resources provided by QRIS to be extremely valuable. The coach always responds quickly and is very thorough; she is encouraging and willing to help us in any way she can; she has provided guidance with everything from introducing us to different resources on the computer to helping us set up Google Docs. The trainings that have been provided through the QRIS and the coach have been very helpful. I believe the support provided through QRIS was instrumental in the Tier 4 rating we received this year.
