The California Department of Social Services is pleased to announce that a new module series, Trauma-Informed Practice: Culturally Responsive Strategies for Working with Adults, is now available! This new module series expands upon the 2-hour module Safe Spaces: Foundations of Trauma-Informed Practice for Educational and Care Settings (0–5), with additional concepts and strategies designed to support those whose work is primarily with adults.
Key Features:
- Languages Available: English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese.
- Audience: This series focuses on trauma-informed practice in the context of working with other adults. The target audience includes supervisors, coaches, trainers, and other specialists.
Content:
- Real-life scenarios and examples tailored to different professional roles.
- Practical strategies for understanding and responding to adults’ stress and trauma in culturally responsive ways.
- A facilitator toolkit will be available later this winter, to support communities of practice built around extending the learning of this module series.
