Process to Outreach/Onboard Programs and Providers
We promote through our First 5, R&R and Child Care Council websites, Facebook, monthly newsletters and ongoing meetings. We recruit whenever and wherever possible. Word of mouth, provider to provider, is very effective.
Quality Improvement Program Support Strategies
We work with our Hub, regional resources (California Preschool Instructional Network), Family Resource Network, resource and referral agencies, and others to bring training opportunities to our county. We do not currently have coaches and have recently recruited a former family child care provider with extensive education and background in the field.
Local Approach to Offering Financial Incentives and Stipends
To date, we have not offered incentives based on rating scores. We do offer incentives/stipends for continuing education, training, and self and outside evaluations (i.e., ERS). We also provide support such as playground stencils, on-site literacy coaching, et cetera.

Testimonial
I found the coaching via technology to be more helpful than most college classes I took for ECE.
