Process to Outreach/Onboard Programs and Providers
We go out to the sites and provide one-on-one visits at a time that is most convenient to the provider. The eligibility for the program is done in a way that makes the program available to everyone who is interested. We begin our initial visits in August and continue until early June, which makes us available to the providers all year.
Quality Improvement Program Support Strategies
Every program participant receives a coaching visit once a month or more depending on their need. The coaching program integrates Family Strengthening, Parents As Teachers, ASQ and ASQ-SE, and PKOF strategies. The California Preschool Instruction Network classes are offered once a month. Other training opportunities are presented to the program participants as they become available.
Local Approach to Offering Financial Incentives and Stipends
We offer financial incentives for completing professional development hours, coaching, and assessments. Based on how much is completed, the program participants receive either materials needed at their site or a stipend.

Testimonial
The Quality Counts program has been a great resource for me and my students. With the programs and trainings that they offer, I was able to integrate new techniques and methods into my routine, which made my work with the children more intentional and productive. I have seen an improvement in the children’s self-regulation and their ability to express their feelings. I have enjoyed being a part of the Quality Counts program.
